"Aww shucks. I sure don't have much zenny on me either!" He had a hunch that she didn't really mean hard-up cash, almost completely certain she meant something else. Wouldn't hurt to play along though, right? Though Zargeth has always been broke. He had a little something on him now though. The allowance he receives as a hunter is quite average due to his rank, but not bad. He usually just blows it on unnecessary stuff or use it to his advantage against a criminal to sway and trick them over if they're money grubbing.
But she seemed quite serious about surrendering her name easily. While he wasn't much of a challenge man, he still gained enjoyment from these sorts of things. "Since I'm quite the cheapskate when I'm nearly broke, how about we make a little deal?" He allowed a smirk as he took a few steps beside her. "Ya like video games? Planning on swinging by the arcade after leaving here. If you can't beat one of my high scores on any of my favorite games there, you owe me your name and a free beverage. If you do, you don't have to say anything...aaaand I'll be the one that owes the free beverage!"
He was going to offer up his shades too, but he could always swing back home and grab another pair when it's time to go out for another mission. She seemed to like them from how she played around with them frequently during the short time she gained their possession, so if she didn't give them back, he didn't care. But as such, he was curious on her response. If she wasn't a gamer, there were always other things they could bet on. Settling with the same solid smirk on his face, he cuffed his hands together behind his head. "Soo...how 'bout it?"

Kai arched an eyebrow at his suggestion, but let a smile take over at his contest. "A video game, hmm? My my, you certainly are a youthful one, aren't you? All right then, I'll accept your wager. I could use a drink as well." She added in confidently. She wasn't a fighter, but she'd had a lot of experience with her pistol. Unless this guy was some kind of firearms specialist, she should be able to beat him easily on one of the usual shooting sims. She paused for a moment, considering something as she began walking in the direction of the arcade. She'd walked by it plenty of times, since she lived here, but she rarely entered. It wasn't really her kind of thing, but she could play along for now.
"Though I have a better idea...how about you play against me? Keep it interesting, we'll see who can do better on one of those target shooters." She suggested, flipping her hair behind one of her shoulders. "Unless you don't want to get beat by a girl in broad daylight..." She teased him. Ok, so she had a major competitive streak, that wasn't criminal...well this application of it wasn't criminal.
She chuckled briefly as she imagined his surprise when she wiped the floor with him. She didn't look like anything special, so he likely didn't assume she was anything more then a normal 'roid. That would be a dangerous assumption to make.
"I'm going to guess you live around here, if you visit those machines enough to max the score table." She theorized outloud.

Ahh, the target shooters. He wondered if it would be worth mentioning that pin point accuracy was his combat specialty? It did seem unfair since he had no idea if she was even a combat reploid to begin with. Some roids were built finely enough that makes it hard to distinguish between normal and combat. But it wasn't his style to spoil the fun like that. And besides, if she DID beat him, he'd be more worried about if he was getting sloppy with his aim than losing out on the wager itself. While they were just games, aiming at visual targets is the same as pulling the trigger on a real, physical target.
But he definitely liked that idea better, passing a very amusing smile at both her suggestion and her attitude towards this, especially the comment on being afraid of losing to a girl. "Ooh! Feeling pretty confident there, eh? Good. I like that! This ought to be more fun than I've originally envisioned." The arcade wasn't far away at all. It was really just around the corner from the park, so they were already closing in on it soon. "But it's a deal. I've met some really good female players, so I hope you're as good as that confidence of yours!"
Though he had to laugh a bit on her assumption of his constant arcade visiting. It was surprisingly mostly true. "Wellll, I spend a lot of time in these parts on my free days, sooo yeah...I kinda do live here!"
...And then there was the arcade after the not-so long walk. It was quite crowded in there, though it was to be expected for a weekend. Also wasn't a surprise that there were equally human and reploid players enjoying themselves there. While roids are programmed mostly for specific purposes, they also possessed the thrill of fun and excitement just like any normal living being...and Zargeth was the prime example of that!

Kai walked into the arcade with Zargeth, and blinked once at the hundreds of flashing lights assailing her optics. It took her but a moment to adjust, but it was still a reminder of how...stimulating entertainment had become. The lights and sounds set in such a way to produce sensations of euphoria, competition and excitement. It was one of the more mundane applications of advanced science.
Hah, some scientists would be rolling in their graves at seeing their technology used like this. Never-the-less, Kai walked through the busy arcade, weaving in between the crowds of people, until she reached a large gaming cabinet. They could be small, they could be loaded right into their optics, but people liked the bigger screens, the ability of others to watch, it felt more like you were the center of attention. She picked up the blue colored pistol, weighing it in her hand and adjusting for the weight difference to her own gun. Good, this wouldn't be too hard. She turned back, looking over her shoulder at Zargeth as she whipped her hair about.
"Well come on then." She said, swiping a card through the reader, as the game chimed in. It was a simple competitive target shooter. 'Maverick' 'roids would pop up, along with civilians and Hunters, and the game would score you as you went. Their mode went up to ten rounds, depending on how long it took one of them to miss a shot.
The first round began, and Kai's expression went serious. Practiced hands guided the gun over the screen, her fingers squeezing off well timed rounds. A few moments of lights and sound effects, when the screen revealed the results of the first round. 100% accuracy for them both.
Kai whistled a bit as the game changed levels. "Not too bad. Fancy yourself a gunslinger?" She asked, readying the gun for the next round.

After the first round concluded, Zargeth spun around the red colored pistol he played with in between the trigger area, glancing at his competition with a rather impressed smile as he gripped it tightly. While it was the first round, it would be expected of someone to do pretty well, but 100% accuracy like he did? He was just really eager to see how much further this going to go on. When it was his turn on the second round, he aimed the gun at the screen while awaiting all the targets to appear. He smirked upon her question, being that was exactly what he was.
"Ohhh, well...let's just say you're very spot on there." He made a rather terrible pun, but was sure she'd catch onto the actual message of the response. Ahh, this level. Second round was a surprise jump in difficulty, throwing civilians out slightly more than the Maverick roids. Every shot he fired, it hit his real targets on the mark. When he was done, he was surprised that his opponent 100% again like he did. At this rate, they were gonna end up partaking in a tiebreaker round if they kept having the same score for the next few rounds. The next round commenced and more civilians began to conquer the maverick roid head count. He wasn't surprised at the outcome, as it becomes REALLY hard to hit the Maverick roids after round five, which round three had just concluded with them both having the same perfect score.
Before the fourth began, he rested the little pistol to his side as he let out giggle, though still facing the screen to be ready. "How about you, eh? That's some impressive aim you've got there. Or perhaps that info could also be apart of the deal if I win?"

Kai grinned slyly, focusing her eyes on the screen still. "Ah, the bet has been made and the die is cast. Too late to change it now." She said as she leveled her gun again. The next two rounds went quietly for the most part. Both of them seemed to be deep in concentration. Round five had been hard, but she could keep up with it all right. They even seemed to draw a little crowd, unusual for even 'roids to be this evenly matched...at least for the time being. She adjusted her grip on the gun, turning her gaze to him for a moment.
"Hmmm, you really did like playing this game, eh?" She asked, extending her sentence until just after the starting buzzer went off. A weak attempt at a distraction, but she didn't always play fair. In fact she rarely did. The round continued as it usually did, silence except the sounds of target popping up and then being shot down. Her mind processed the screen as it constantly changed. ' Enemy, click. Innocent. Enemy, click. Enemy, click. Innocent. Enemy, click. Hunter, click.
Her finger was barely squeezing down on the trigger when she realized what she was doing. It was no use, the guns were sensitive, and registered the shot fired, hitting a Hunter in the right eye, almost exactly where she'd aim with her stunner. She didn't make any other mistakes, but that was enough. For when the score table came up, it revealed an unpleasant truth.
Round 6 Player 1: Accuracy: 100% Player 2: Accuracy: 98%
GAME OVER
She sighed a bit, holstering the gun as the game returned to it's title screen, and the crowd around them began to disperse slowly. "Hah, quite a shot there. Not bad, not bad at all." Bit of an understatement, this guy was good. Either someone who worked with guns a lot, or a guy who just liked games...
Maybe both.

That was pretty close there. Even he had to allow a sigh of relief after the game was over. If she didn't make that minor mistake, they'd either have entered the tiebreaker round or he might of made a screw up. He wasn't really bothered by the crowd that formed either, though by the time he actually realized a bunch of people were watching, they've already spread out. In truth, that tends to happen a lot in this arcade, especially when people see it's him and someone else playing a specific shooter. Returning the pistol to it's rightful place, he clapped his hands repeatedly. He had to give his opponent her props. Most of the people he played against couldn't even last the first two rounds with him.
"Hah hah! Congrats, little lady. You're the first to actually give me a tough challenge in this game's two player mode!" He spoke with much sincerity. "With aim like that, I'm surprised you aren't a combat reploid or enlisted into the hunter organization...or are you?" he sarcastically remarked. While it only was just a game, it's results were almost accurate on one's aiming capabilities. Though part of their deal didn't involve her occupation or anything like that, so she was free to keep whatever secrets she had.
There were here for only one game though, so he figured it might have been best to leave before someone else wanted to challenge him in something. When he first started coming here, he began breaking the previous high scores on his favorites and some keep challenging him to reclaim their spot. Some gave up and moved on, while some kept being persistent to this very day. He honestly didn't care if he was beaten. It sure was amusing and impressive to see people try so hard at something meant to be a simple hobby and a time killer at the same time. He just played these games excessively himself just to have fun on his off-time...and if he's in the mood.
Beginning to walk towards the exit, he continued to talk anyway. "Sooo...looks like I win! I deserve your name now, right?" He was kinda joking about the free drink part, but this one seemed to take her bets very seriously. So if she was still going to treat him, he wasn't going to complain! He still has the whole day off after all.

Well at least he wasn't an ungracious winner. He was pretty fun loving about it all, and that made losing at least palatable. Still, a wager had been made, and while she was a thief, she was a thief with honor. She delivered what she promised, for the promised amount, which was more then most people in her line of work could claim. In a job so full of deception and violence, a little honestly and honor among thieves was something many people didn't appreciate the value of. What is the good in buying hot gear if you are gonna try to back stab your supplier for a quick profit? It's just bad business.
She looked up and nodded. "I suppose it does, you won fair and square. You can call me Kai." She said, the start of a smile forming on her lips as she flung her hair around, getting loose strands out of her face. She only used fake names in alternate forms, her base form had an actual file, like all 'roids did. Of course, most of it was fake, but that didn't mean there wasn't some accurate information there. Size, appearance, location of residence. Of course some things like her place of creation, designation, current profession, and such were mostly fake. Not like anyone would ever have a reason to dig into a seemingly normal 'roid like her as long as she stayed out of the way.
"Well then, I believe I owe you a drink as well, don't I Zargeth? Lead on then, I'm afraid I don't stop by here often." She said, choosing to ignore his comment on her shooting skills, instead turning it around on him. "I must admit, your impressed me with that shooting. You must be here quite often to get that good."

"Kai, huh? Pleased to meet ya!" They were now out of the arcade, now heading off to the nearest spot that sells beverages. He was still pretty curious as to the rest of her identity, since she still seemed like more than meets the eye. But who cares? He's off-duty and it's still none of his business about the details of her life. It's called an off-day for a reason...and off-days translates to complete slacking off, doing whatever the heck he wanted to do to waste time according Zargeth's standards. Still, can't calm the natural curiosity towards the unknown though, even for a reploid such as he. However, when she turned his own comment on him, he laughed a bit as he crossed his hands behind his head. "Yeah, that's true. Games like the one we played allows me to go wild! ...well, mainly because I'm fire arm specialist. But it still gets me pumped."
They ventured further until they reached the end of the block. This corner was pretty much like a shopping center besides the arcade. There were many stores, restaurants and such all working together within this establishment. The place he had in mind was just ahead: a beverage stand that was kind like a bar counter, but it lacked doors or windows; an outdoor seating. Luckily, no one was there having a drink so it was just the two of them for the moment.
The lofty hunter took a seat on one of the bar stools as he spoke up to allow the server to know they were here. Having notification that they'll be served soon, he relaxed a bit as he waited for Kai to be seated. "Hmmmmmmm...I'll try not to get anything too expensive now." he stated aloud with a chuckle. He was just playing around as usual though. This place sold some pretty inexpensive beverages all around with the prices displayed on a clearly visible menu, even the alcoholic drinks humans love so much.

Kai had to admit, Zargeth gave off a very...relaxing aura. He was just calm and energetic at the same time. An odd combination to be sure, but one she found oddly appealing. At the mention of him being a firearms specialist, Kai had to arch an eyebrow a little bit. "Hah, so did I just wind up handing you the win there? Mmm, bad luck on my part." She finished, taking her seat across from him and studying the 'roid.
When he made the comment on being frugal, she let a small smile pierce her lips again, he seemed to be good at causing that reaction. "You don't strike me as the type who would enjoy the expensive stuff. Though you also didn't strike me as the type that would be good with a gun, so apparently you are full of surprises." She quipped, her eyes taking in everything about him. That relaxed demeanor, that casual manner of speaking, they hid a level of skill that was no small thing. And no civilian reploid would have abilities that good. It was possible that he was just a really good gamer, but she doubted that was all there was.
"So where was your great plan going from here? Or are you just making it up as you go?" She asked with a wry grin.

"Ohhh! You doubt the Great Zargeth, eh? Weeeell...I'm not surprised. I do just look like some sap on the streets after all." He had a feeling she was just joking, but as playful as he is, the tall hunter was always so gullible to play along. "I'd definitely be honored to show ya some "proof"...isn't that right?" He gave off a funny-looking smirk. The last part of his response that was phrased as a question was directed to the server, who conveniently arrived to see what they'd like to have. Since he's been here plenty of times, he knows the staff here pretty well. They know how playful the hunter was, so they practically didn't mind a thing he did as they either laughed at or with him when he does something stupid on purpose. But the server seemed to know what he was talking about, the reploid male simply laughing a bit as he continued with work.
He immediately ordered his beverage, a sort of liquid that reploids could drink that has a similar taste to fruit juice. As he awaited for Kai to order hers, he leaned back in his chair as he stuffed his hand in his large pocket. "I'll get ya to believe me, for I...the Great Zargeth has never told a lie ever since the day he was created!.....or have I?" He was the brutally honest type, so in a sense, it was kind of true. But he has recalled plenty of times he's told a fib...either to get himself out of a jam or just to be funny.
