The clash ended in them both cancelling each other out again, it seemed. She witnessed his weapon spin out of his hand and was almost about to lose the grip of her own. It did slip, but she managed to catch it by the hilt in time before she could be separated from it. But before she could try and follow-up another attack, his buster was already pointed directly at her face. He had the opportunity to finish her...yet he didn't fire? Was he holding back? No, it seemed as though the rush of battle had something to do with it. She continued to be puzzled by this reploid's movements and reactions to this fight...as well as his words.
While she could continue the battle, her curiosity finally got the best of her, her lips beginning to move. "...Your mission." she spoke as softly as her usual. She stood straight and gave him a rough stare after the pause, not attempting to strike for now. "Is that the cause...of your enjoyment of battle? Well, that's probably about the longest sentence she's ever said in her life right there. But if she could not analyze his reason of loving to battle through observations alone, then perhaps words were necessary at this point. She simply just wanted to know.

"Of course it is!" He said, laughing a little as he lowered his Astrid Buster away from her face when she lowered her own weapon. "The thrill of the fight, the wind of the battlefield. To push your body as far as it can go--that is what it means to live for me. I am built purely for combat. I'm surprised you do not enjoy it as much as I do," He said, that smile still on his face. "I am Spencer, Combat Reploid. Who are you, worthy adversary?" He asked, looking her up and down as if for the first time, remarking on her beauty, but not letting his eyes indulge. He already had someone in his life that he adored.
Still, throughout their conversation, he kept his stance ready in case she attacked again. As much as the fight thrilled him, he was not entirely certain that it was over quite yet.

She allowed her eyes to wonder off into another direction as he spoke, thinking heavily about his words. So he fights so fiercely simply because he was built that way...but in a sense, he's correct about her. Since she's also built for combat, shouldn't see display such behavior as well? Or does it have to do with the fact that she was bio-roid and he reploid? Of course not. While her kind have their differences, their programming's the same as any reploid. Or perhaps, it is 'her' programming that's the issue. She was built as a ruthless killer with no emotions, to obey every command given to her without objection. But ever since her past with that cyborg, she fears that she's malfunctioning.
"...Serenade." She replied after he asked for her name. And now knowing his name, she would make sure not to forget it. That's because thanks to him, she finally understood this feeling of hers. It's the desire to keep on fighting. She's never seen combat as something enjoyable or for pure sport, for when she hunted down her targets, she'd immediately terminate them as quickly as possible. And just then, Spencer mentioned pushing the body as far as it went during battle. Was she really giving it her all here? Was it disrespectful to not give it 100% in a battle? It seemed that way from the looks of things. In a way, she really hasn't been using her skills to their fullest so far...and this apparently is what her opponent wants: To have a good fight.
...And so she shall. Since she's restricted from unleashing her Hyper Mode due to her master locking it until she required to use it again, she was limited. However, she had more reliable means of taking this 100% at her current access to power. She took a few steps back, giving them both the appropriate room needed. Serenade re-activated her beam saber, placing her vacant hand across the other side of her belt and gripping the hilt of her second one.
"Regain your weapon." She shut her eyes for a few seconds, gripping the hilt of her second beam saber tighter before drawing it and the beam of heat releasing upon activation, now dual wielding them. When she re-opened, her eyes gleamed brightly, as it was a sign that she was no longer holding anything back...that she was entering her more aggressive style of combat. She didn't exactly realize it, but she had a slight, yet noticeable tough smile pierce her features. Perhaps it was the heat of battle finally getting to her once she finally understood the feeling she was wrecking her brain over trying to decipher.

The smile upon the maverick warrior's face deepened once again, approval clear in his eyes at the woman's statement. Without a second's worth of hesitation, he leaped into the air, somersaulting in order to land on his feet again next to his weapon that had been knocked out his hand. Like a treasured relic, the Reploid picked up his weapon again, feeling it within his grasp for a moment in order to re-affirm his grip. What happened last time could literally have been a fluke; He could not risk the weapon being knocked out his hand again, not when his opponent would be using two weapons. After that moment, he activated the blade, red energy emitting from the device with the thrum of energy and malice.
"Then let us push on!" He said, running towards the woman again. This time, she had two weapons with which to fight. As much as Spencer should have been formulating a plan on defeating her despite the doubled odds against him, his soul sang with excitement as he charged towards her, blocking out any coherent thought at the moment. His Astrid Buster was still present, ready for action, but that would be as a last resort. No, he wanted to see what she could do with those blades of hers, and to deny her that chance would be to cheapen the victory for the both of them.
"Hold nothing back!" He declared, lashing out with his saber at the woman, eager to see just what she was capable of.

So this is how it felt to enjoy a true battle. Before she carried on, she wondered how some battles in the past would have turned out if she learned how to take a different approach in her fights like now. While she couldn't recall it too perfectly, she remembered a couple of roids in the war that seemed to have a little too much fun with their battles like this one here. Though unfortunately, their skill did not meet with their determination very well; they're lives ended in merely an instant. However, this man here was both full of energy and power...as well as the skill to back it up. She was actually grateful for an opportunity such as this, as she's still learning more about the world.
However, there was no time to ponder too heavily into deep thoughts such as those, as her opponent was rushing straight for her once again. It was finally time. She had a tiny shocking feeling in her chest just now. Was it the feeling of anticipation? Well, it was time to finally see. She responded to his charge once again in the same kind, sprinting forth - but this time, her speed picked up double as her previous. Before they could meet, she leaped high over his head to avoid the straightforward encounter of his blade, still maintaining that same velocity in the air as she spun viciously several times until she landed behind him, stomping the ground with crushing force as she immediately twirled her body around upon landing and readied her blades as she crossed them together, then swung them both on perfect cue. The first blade being swung vertically, while the other in the opposite, horizontal direction.

The opposition was quick! Not only did she leap above his charging attack, but she had managed to spin and land behind him as well. Each of her movements were graceful, calculated, and quick, the kind of opponent that relied on speed rather than brawn, which was fine by Spencer's standards. If a person was strong in one area, it would be foolish to just outright ignore it in a fight such as this. Even so, he turned his head towards the woman as she landed, seeing her movements quickly transpire before his eyes. His smile still plastered against his face, he dove for the ground, rolling out of the way of the horizontal and vertical slashes that surely would have cut deep gashes into his armor had he just stood there.
He quickly found his feet and stood back up, rushing towards the woman again in an attempt to lash out with his blade against her right shoulder, seeking to dismember that arm as well as remove her advantage of a second blade in combat. However, even as he did so, he kept his Astrid Buster active, prepared to fire another shot of hot plasma in case he needed it. Such exhilaration, such excitement... there was no substitute!

Rolling on the ground was an interesting way of dodging both of those attacks, however she maintained focus on his movements as she positioned her body to follow him as he rolled and risen back to his feet. This one was determined to keep coming at her like a mad man...yet she no longer questions it, now fully understanding what's really going on. Her shining eyes continued to lock themselves on his movements. She possessed no kind of scanning capabilities through the eyes, just that she was maintaining 100% focus to help prevent slipping up. She was able to catch onto his next charge, but evading it may actually back fire on her given how he's attacking. As such, she crossed her beam sabers as she blocked the assault with all her strength applied, not wanting to be disarmed.
The sparks were flying from the clash, as well as creating a nearly blinding light, temporarily obscuring her vision and most likely her opponent's as well, unless his eyes weren't very sensitive to bright flashes. Regardless, his strength managed to push her backwards as she planted her feet onto the road and slid roughly until she halted several feet away from him. Having an idea, she quickly deactivated one of her Reaper Blades and used her now free hand to channel energy for more electric spheres, but held the energy in place to avoid firing them just yet. With the halted energy still in hand, she dashed forth and fired about three electric spheres towards her opponent, but they were released at a medium speed since she can control the rate at which they are fired, despite not being able to charge energy like most can. Afterwards, she performed the same leaping method as before, however she didn't land behind her opponent this time, as he would most likely predict the movement. Instead, she simply landed beside him and reactivated her second blade as she prepared for another double strike, but keeping her speed under control just in case he catches onto the tricky attack the the spheres end up hitting her instead!

His blade impacted against hers, her crossed blades halting the progress of his own attack dead in its tracks, but that did not stop the crazed Reploid from pushing his strength against hers, testing to see just how strong she really was. Sparks flew out from the contact between the energy blades, white hot particles stinging against armor plating and scorching the paint, all the while blinding light keeping his eyes nearly shut in order to keep his eyes from overloading themselves. But still, he pushed, seeking to overpower his opponent. The strength of the blow seemed to push her backwards until she managed to halt her backwards movement, a sure indication of his strength and, possibly, her own.
Just then, she charged up for another attack, causing the combat reploid to deepen his smile. Excitement ran through his systems again, just as she charged towards him and loosed her energy spheres. Reacting, he fired his buster at the spheres, halting their progress from impacting against his armor. However, the woman leaped into the air and landed beside him, catching him off guard. As much as he tried to avoid the attack, her blades found purchase in his armor, tearing into his armor like hot knives through butter despite his motion to avoid them. Pain surged from his shoulder and chest, where her blades had pierced into his armor, but he was not done yet. In retaliation, he swung his own blade horizontally, seeking to remove her arms from the rest of her body. He did not exchange words this time, far too dedicated to the thrilling battle before his eyes, seeking some way to win!

His retaliation surprised her to great lengths, not realizing he could absorb such pain and keep going without pause. His determined roared mighty like her kind...Bio-roids were vulnerable to heavy damage, yet they lacked feelings for true pain...this reploid's thrill for battle was equal to that of a Bio-roid's persistence. Interesting...but his attack was sudden and quite unpredictable. She tried to assess the situation as quickly as possible, but there there was no way she could possibly evade this perfectly. But given that his strength most likely exceeds her own, a strike with so much power and determination placed into it would surely disarm her from her Reaper Blades if she attempted to block the assault head-on.
So instead, she clashed blades with him, but used his own power to push her away out of danger...but unfortunately when she was rocketed backwards and sideways, her left arm was cut deeply by his saber...and at a vital point as well. When she slid backwards, she stabbed her Reaper Blade into the ground to break her fall...but as she risen, she realized that her left arm was completely incapacitated, as he seemed to have stuck a key point on her arm that required it to function. Without any feeling in her arm, she dropped the second Reaper Blade as it deactivated on it's own. For the moment, she deactivated the other and stared downwards at the weapon laid out, then kicked the disabled weapon with the heel of her foot as it flipped upwards and she gripped it with her only functioning arm, reactivating it and being forced to fight with only one sword again.
"...Impressive." She finally complimented towards him. It had been a while since she's received this much damage in battle...it kind of felt strange, but at the same time not alien. There were a lot of tough opponents out there like Spencer...and also that cyborg to a degree since he managed to create that large lethal cut on her chest that's still clearly exposed due to her cloak still M.I.A.
But the question was this: Can she still fight? The way this battle was going, she won't be able to use her elemental abilities with a broken arm and an already occupied one. Her opponent sustained some heavy damage as well, but on how determined he was to see this battle to an end and displaying such strong spirit, Serenade figured he wasn't going to let his wounds interfere with this fight. But how much longer can he fight before that spark that keeps him going runs out? While she was almost unable to keep going, she wanted to continue battling...just to see more of her opponent's strength to the very end. She stood by ready, interested on how the battle will proceed next.
