Name: Serenade.
Species: Bio-roid.
Affiliation/Occupation: While her current affiliation is unknown to the public, she automatically has Maverick slapped on her title, despite not knowing any hunter other than the ones she's already slain.
Hunter Rank: N/A
Physical Description: (The picture is obviously human, but it's generally the basic idea of what she looks like.) While she takes the appearance of a typical female reploid, the mysterious proto-type Bio-roid herself is everything BUT typical. Once one meets contact with her crimson red eyes and her lifeless stare, they'd realize that she's more than meets the eye. Being one of the proto-types used for tests to further improve future generations of Bio-roids, she was designed with the exact same appearance as a Reploid. All bio-roids vastly resemble a roid, but proto-types like her was like gazing upon a doppelganger. She can blend in perfectly in normal society like it was normal, as the last thing people would expect her to be was a Bio-roid. All the people that recognized her in the war save Magnus have mostly met their end by her hand, so she generally has no fear of being spotted. But for safety precautions issued by her "Master", she conceals herself with brown cloth all over with a hood over her head when she's in public.
Equipment:
Reaper Blades: These twin beam sabers can transform themselves into two forms of energy-based blades, though both forms deal the same amount of damage to an opponent upon contact. The first and primary form of the energy blades takes on the typical appearance of any average beam saber you'd see. The second form of the blades warp from the basic form to longer in length energy blades and greatly curve at their tip like a scimitar, though much curvier to appear scythe-like. Due to being energy-based, they have no additional weight, though she can't swing them around as wildly as she can like the basic appearance. She mostly uses the second form of the blades when she requires longer reach or to latch onto something, since they do not inflict any sort of extra damage.
Skills/Techniques: Serenade mostly battles with one Reaper Blade in hand. She dual wields whenever it is strictly necessary. That being during times of desperation (needing to counter immediately to protect herself from an attack) or taking a fight 100% seriously. Being a Bio-roid, her combat capabilities are quite abnormal compared to a reploid's. While most of her kind possess great power, her combat style involves fast paced movements, plus her own naturally built-in strength to boot. Since she possesses great agility, she isn't as powerful as the common Bio-roid when it comes to raw power, but her strength is definitely a little above average by default. Though like most of her brethren, she is extremely fragile and any hard or fatal hit would send her down in a matter of seconds. Being a proto-type model, her Titanium X exterior is slightly less durable than most Bio-roids. Nothing can be done to improve her fragility, so she gains offensive upgrades to compensate for the lack of defense. She relies on her dexterity and agility alone to avoid damage at all costs.
She also can manipulate elemental energies on a limited level, for her arms themselves are like arm cannons, though she can't charge energy. She has a variable elemental system installed in her body which allows her to change normal shots of plasma to different attributes to make up for the lack of charging. Other than the natural plasma shots most reploids use when firing their arm cannons, she can also emit blasts of fire, lightning and ice from her bare hands for long range combat, though her current limitations prevent her from doing anything special with them other than just becoming a helpful means of being a little more versatile when it comes to hurting enemies who possess elemental weaknesses.
Hyper Mode:
Aircalibur: The true form of her abilities as a Bio-roid. She gains medium-sized jet-black mechanical wings that are compacted in her back and when she activates her hyper mode, they sprout. She can fly and glide in the air during the limited time, though being airborne during the entirety of activation to cooldown will severely weaken her afterward, almost impossible for her to fight afterwards. Flying takes a large strain on her energy, hence she has to use the ability with moderation during activation to avoid uselessness after cooldown. While transformed and airborne, her elemental abilities are also strengthened, however she gains new abilities with them as her hyper mode gradually upgrades.
Backstory: Before the dawn of the Bio-roid war, Serenade was one of the prototypes of the feared machines. She took the appearance of a simple Reploid before the beginning designs were developed. As time passed, she kept receiving upgrades to keep up with her Bio-roid allies, yet maintained her typical appearance. She was also used as means of deceiving the public with her design, as well as anyone she crossed in battle, since all the other prototypes were reportedly retired by hunters. When the bio-roids began to return to the standard designs themselves in the middle of the war, her guise was quite useless then. Serenade was programmed with less emotion as possible, having the ability of carrying out orders efficiently. When the hunters would have the edge, she fled as commanded by the current unknown figures responsible for the mayhem. Her trait of complete obedience and persistence in battle is what kept her alive for the entire decade of war.
She directly served one of the masterminds of the whole incident, as well as another indirectly, being issued orders personally to carry out important jobs that didn't require large groups, like infiltration or single target elimination. She could do it effectively and not be tracked, for she conveniently had access to transportation leading to their unknown location back and forth that the hunters still haven't tracked to this very day. There had never been any reports of the other proto-types coming back alive, but due to her emotionless nature, her leaders kept her as a valuable asset to their army, despite not taking part in many of the actual invasions save a few she partaken in if the area they invaded was very small, remote, or had useful information she could acquire while eliminating the population at the same time with the help of her stronger brethren. She was perfectly suited for her duty. Though it all started to go wrong after she encountered...him.
With being the one solely responsible for Magnus losing most of his body as a child, this was one good example of how emotionless she was. But over time after she took him down, her control chip began to malfunction just a tad...however, she maintained her strengths in her overall programming, able to stave it off for a while. But on the day it was her turn to lead an attack on Abel City (a task she often wasn't appointed), she sneaked around the enemy ranks dexterously and attacked from the side of Hunter HQ alone while destroying it's exterior, finding only Magnus and his partner, Priscilla. After literally cleaving Priscilla in half in front of Magnus, she forced him into battle. But when he fled with the smoke bomb, yet caught up to him relatively quick, she somehow recognized his face. Normally, she would have made sure he died that time, for she wasn't one to allow an enemy to escape with their life the first time...but the malfunction in her CPU was more than just minor as the years passed after their first faithful encounter. The error in her programming caused her to feel at least some remorse while remembering what she did to the cyborg in the past, letting him off with just one grievous wound to his side and fleeing immediately.
After sparing his life, she couldn't stop recalling the moment she severed his limbs. The malfunction was eating away at her constantly, having her mind momentarily switch over to how a reploid was supposed to act and feel: protecting the humans. She defied her nature. Bio-roid or no, she was still a robot...and the first law of robotics clearly states that machine must not severely harm or kill a human. And to make matters worse, he was a small teenager at the time. The feelings of guilt just couldn't wash over at all, eventually recalling others she'd slain before and after almost killing Magnus. At one point, she was actually considering turning herself over to the hunters, but she was still loyal to the very end. Other than the fact that she'd be killed by one of her own before she could even make two steps into Abel City due to their spies, she still could never defy her master. He could have tossed her aside since she was a test bot, but he found a purpose for her and she was not going to betray that trust.
Before she knew it, the war concluded and all of her remaining allies were ordered to retreat entirely; to vanish completely if they could or hide within society until further notice. However, she still maintains contact and transportation to her "home", however still monitoring the world for her master, as well as still performing duties issued to her while working undercover. She wanted to keep on going, for she wanted to see if she could defeat the feelings that flowed into her entirely without her consent. She had a feeling the cyborg she spared was the key to getting what she desires most. To relinquish herself of those feelings entirely, she has to break free of them with brute force in order to finally finish off the life she failed to take twice. Even if it means stalking him from afar until she feels she can take an opportunity to kill him.
Personality: As stated before, Serenade was originally programmed to not feel any emotion and was simply meant to obey orders like a lifeless doll. However due to the programming error, a personality was formed, however very small at the moment. Because of this, she's not one to say more than two or three words per response...it'd be surprising to get even a sentence out of her. However, once her new-found personality is more developed on it's own, the tendency of not speaking much will gradually decrease. She still maintains a very lifeless expression almost 100% of the time, making it very difficult to read her.
When she's not being entirely silent, she can be very...direct. If anything, she's fully honest down to every aspect, though that's mostly due to having an incomplete personality. Because of her encounters with Magnus, she also tends to be slightly remorseful when she realizes she did something heinous. She possess these feelings, however she doesn't show them in front of her master or anyone else for that matter simply because she still maintains the idea that she's supposed to appear emotionless, as being otherwise would be nothing but a huge slow down and most of all a weakness. However since her personally grows on it's own without her consent, it is beyond her power to control or subdue her inner feelings entirely. She would mention it to someone to get herself fixed and return to her normal self, but something prevents her from doing so. She doesn't understand this feeling at all, hence trying to explore it more instead of destroying it. But at the end of the day, she's just extremely loyal and never forgets the debts she has to repay.
Additional Information: Her backstory is meant to be as vague as possible to avoid spoilers early on. This profile and her backstory will be updated regularly both as she RPs with others more when her personality develops and when arcs she takes place in commence.
