Soul had been in the game a long time, in fact...there was a reason why he was alive after all this time and it was because he was smart. Having eyes and ears on the inside made it easier for he and his men to do their thing on the outside, and tonight it was time to cut a few loose ends and regain some old friends. If Soul were to wage this war properly he needed a few key players back onto the field, not just anyone but a certain reploid who happened to be one of the greatest mechanical geniuses he had ever met. Unfortunately that reploid was a faulted by his own genius and locked away within the very bounds of power that he had created, like an unintended prison so to speak. Soul walked along the dark halls of a long since abandoned laboratory, arms neatly folded behind his back to hold that oh so elegant posture and that signature smirk riding his face the whole way. To his left was one of his most trusted men, Gravity Juggernaut, a small red reploid by default but Soul knew better than anyone how big and strong this little guy could get once his collar had been turned loose.
"These halls seem rather....nostalgic, don't you agree?", he said aloud as he stopped in front of a rather large set of security bay doors. The complex layers of shielding and locks ensured that it couldn't just be blasted open the metals were to thick and laid down in layers if he recalled...one large set of doors and nine doors stacked behind it if he recalled correctly. Their old friend liked to ensure that his work space was properly protected. His left eye moved a center focus on a tiny slot to the far right of the door, made for a special key that was taken by the Maverick Hunters many years ago and placed in a vault.

Juggernaut walked beside Soul, eyes looking around the hallway with more of a grin on his face compared to Soul's everlasting smirk that never seemed to vanish. "Yeah, I think that about nails it right on the hat.", he said with a strong wave of sarcasm in his tone. The last time he was here in this very hideout there seemed to be a bit of a disagreeing with his younger brother, Ragnarok, the very reploid that Soul and Juggernaut were trying to free. Though in a sense he felt that Ragnarok had brought it all upon himself, but even so...Juggernaut felt he should have been there to help him fight that last battle that ultimately lead up to his capture. "When we get him out of there I am SO going to give him hell for this. I mean, seriously how do you fall prisoner to your own plan?", he said as he stopped in front of the security doors.

Soul looked over his shoulder and frowned at Juggernaut for his comment of falling victim of his own plan. He knew all too well what it was like to fall victim to one's own plan because it happened to him....twice. Obviously Juggernaut had not gone up against X, such an oblivious android who never knew the true potential of his design yet managed to defeat a specialize task force designed for killing him. Yet X managed to destroy Agile, Violen, and Surges twice before the day was over. " Watch your tone...he's still your brother be that as it may. Anyone can fall fault of their own plan if they grow careless even for a moment.", he said to Juggernaut trying to pretend this was about Ragnarok and not himself. Though it wasn't Juggernaut's fault, there was no way he could have known about Soul's past encounters with X back when he was Agile, but regardless it was hard to step passed those memories most times due to the fact that he carried parts of Agile's original hard-drive and processors. He reached into his left pocket and pulled out a small key-drive and held it up sot hat the two of them could both see it, then that smirk came back to his face indicating that he wasn't angry anymore. " Its amazing how something so small could contain such a heavy impact on the future. Heh heh heh..", he chuckled thinking about the evens that transpired no more than several hours ago: 7 Hours and 32 minutes ago... A set of doors slid open and in walked Soul with his arms folded behind his back and smirking with a slight show of teeth, glancing ahead was a bound Maverick Hunter in a chair with his weapons disabled and damaged. It was such an exciting day for Soul because he would finally get some answers. It took a lot of strings to get the Hunters out on a wild goose chase today but it bought him all the time he needed. "Why...hello there friend. Im sure you have a lot of questions but im afraid I do need to keep this short.", he said as he leaned in closely to the reploid's face. The one they held captured was one of the few that was involved in Ragnarok's capture, and one of the few who knew where to find the key to Sky Hammer which ultimately held their friend captive. "You know about the event of project Sky Hammer? Of course you do. One of the four keys was given to you by X himself to hide away. You see, I couldn't get the key from him...but to my luck he gave his to YOU......and I need that key, my friend.", he said as he stood up strait and smiled. Gravity Juggernaut could be seen in the far right of the room, barely outside of the lit area of the dim room, just listening in on the conversation with glowing red eyes. Soul could tell by the look in the captured reploid's eyes that he was confused to see that Soul was a Maverick after all this time.
"Im sure our compatriot back against that wall is eager to see his brother, so why don't you just tell us where you his the key and we'll....be on our way.", Soul said to him as he gestured an open hand toward Juggernaut who was against the wall. Of course there were others in the room who were completely hidden in the shadows but this show was Soul's so they all stayed out of the light. "G-go...f-fu...", he started to say before Soul's right arm blinked and would be seen fully extended with his Soul Rapier activated, blade plunged into the reploid's knee cap before he had known what hit him. Soul was blinding fast...and even faster at short range...and now the reploid knew that too. "AAAAAAH!!!", the reploid screamed in agony as his pain receptors kicked in once again. "It doesn't have to be like this..", he said as he retracted the blade and folded that arm back behind his back, the click of his Soul Rapier being slid back into his holster at the rear of his hip behind heard aloud. "A-Abel City...west pier dock in sector four, i-inside a mobile vault at the b-bottom of the water.", he said with shame in his tone. Soul smiled and looked over his shoulder to one of the figures in the shadows and gave them a short nod. In prompt response the figure nodded back and blurred to the left disappearing.
"Thank you, you've been a great help to my cause.", he said as he bowed and turned around heading for the doors. The doors slid open and Soul stopped for a moment not looking back, "Juggernaut? Please take care of our guest.", and walked out with the door sliding closed behind him. " This makes four keys, soon we'll be able to break your brother out of that dimensional displacer he built.", he said as he slid one of the keys into that small slit in the door. It seemed that the lab's power was still functional because the door lit up then parted open. Soon after the other doors slid open in random directions like an intricate puzzle box, then lit a long hallway with green lines all along the walls, floor, and ceiling. " Come, there's much work to be done."

It seems he struck a nerve with Soul, Juggernaut was far from stupid so he was easily able to notice such subtle micro-expressions from his leader. He figured it had nothing to do with he and his brother since Soul was hardly EVER irritated about anything for the most part. Knowing it was best not to retort he just kept his mouth shut and waited for him to open the door with the key they had obtained from the Hunter forces. When he saw the key being held up, Juggernaut gave a blood lusty smile, it was as if that key had now become symbolic to what had happened not too long ago. He could still hear the reploid's screams from when he crushed the one light source in the room...then pulled out all of the reploid's insides while he was still alive before pulling him in half. He loved it when he was allowed to cut loose, but the leash has been kind of short lately because of the last time he went on a rampage and tore through the Maverick Hunter base like a kid in a candy store. Soul wasn't too happy about that day, he said they almost dispatched Zero to track him down and spent a lot of time leading the Hunters on a false chase so that Juggernaut could get away.
With Ragnarok back on the team it would be easy to obtain not only better equipment, but he could also work out upgrade specs for the rest of the members...assuming he wasn't still upset at being caught in the first place. It almost seems like the team abandoned Ragnarok but cover needed to be maintained for most of the Counter Hunter Syndicate and couldn't risk exposure at the time. "Dips**t should've told us what he was planning...", he said as he slammed his right fist into his palm HARD, the clash made a sort of thunderclap that echoed down the hall a bit. He loved his brother dearly, regardless of how terrible of a person Juggernaut was to the rest of the world, and no matter how much he argued with his younger brother. Though he had to give him credit, the plans for Sky Hammer were pretty brilliant...it was a bit of a fluke that he was defeated. He saw the video footage of the battle that transpired, he had half the Hunter forces inside and outside this very lab trying to take him down. Who would've thought that a random rookie could've landed a 1% shot at a tiny opening in Ragnarok's power armor, frying the very circuit that was holding open a dimensional portal that was drawing out complex machinery?
Well that 1% shot caused the portal to suck Ragnarok inside a pocket dimension with no power, and his arm that controls those portals was blown off OUTSIDE the portal before he was sucked inside. That arm was confiscated by the Maverick Hunters and locked away until now. Juggernaut adjusted the strap on his left shoulder that was holding a bag containing his brothers arm, it was a long time in the making to track it down but it was finally found. They should have just destroyed it when they had the chance, is what he was thinking to himself. When he saw the doors open, his eye's targeting grid followed the green streams of lights as they activated, following them down the longer hallway which would soon lead to his brothers old lab.
