Name: Breaker or Kellindal Tarak
Species: Cyborg/Human
Affiliation/Occupation: Maverick Hunter
Hunter Rank: D
Physical Description:
Out of Armor: www.rpgfan.com/pics/Phantom_Brave_We_Meet_Again/art-005.jpg
In Armor: img405.imageshack.us/img405/3228/breaker.png
Equipment: Breaker's armor is not outfitted with any particular weapon systems. The armor does, however, have extensive hydraulic modifications that increases physical power ten fold over a normal Cyborg. This may be due in part to the fact that the armor was originally designed for a construction robot. The massive suit is packed with inertial dampners, ensuring that it (and the person within) can withstand the excessive force it is capable of producing.
Skills/Techniques: The Breaker armor is designed around physical altercations. It's crushing, lifting and all around physical power has been raised to staggering levels. Kellindal uses the armor mostly to brawl, since most weapons even of Titanium-X design are incapable of withstanding the massive power the armor brings to bare for more then a few fights. In a fight, he tends to use the environment to it's maximum potential, fully understanding that most opponents are not as physically durable as he is. Anything on the battlefield is a weapon, whether he is throwing it, or slamming an enemy into it.
Hyper Mode:
The suit comes prepared with several safety limiters, in place to maximize the run time of the unit and minimize wear. These limiters can be disengaged to allow the hydraulic systems to function at full power, though the strain on the system makes this brief indeed. In addition to raw physical power, it allows the unit to jump distances measure in stories (causing significant damage at the lift off and landing points), lift and throw staggering loads, as well as stop up to fifteen tons of material moving at over 300 MPH. This mode can only function for a maximum of five minutes before parts in the suit will begin to fail, and danger to the operator becomes too dangerous to continue. Immediate, and lengthy, repairs are required after stressing the servos to this degree.
Backstory: Breaker and Kellindal were not always synonymous. Kellindal was a human, working at one of the many construction companies that had sprung up after the war. His view on Reploids was something less then friendly, as he had always viewed them as causes of endless trouble. How many wars had their been caused simply by them? The world had been scared horribly by the Eurasia incident, and yet they still relied on these tools of death. The company he worked with used them, of course, but he never cared enough to even consider the things as anything but a pile of scrap. His entire family had died in a Bio-Roid attack when he was young, so he'd had to make due for himself his entire life. This solidified his rather jaded outlook on life, and he never looked back.
It was several months after the war ended that fate stepped in to change the fate of this angry young man. It was a big day, their entire company (small as it was) had been called in to work on one of the largest jobs they'd ever seen. The entire staff was at this site, repairing the damage to an old government building, the identity of which was long since forgotten. Working at one of the hundreds of construction sites in the city, they suddenly found themselves under attack by a renegade force of Mavericks. What purpose they had attacking this construction site, Kellindal never found out. Slaughter was omni present as he moved to try and escape the carnage. The enemies were more skilled then the run-of-the-mill Bio-Roids though, and soon they had killed almost every human and reploid in the company. The one that grabbed him, the face of a snow wolf as he snarled at the blond boy he held up. With a decree of fun, he tossed the boy and the last remaining construction reploid into one of their metal compactors. The hideous and howling laughter bounced off of the walls as the ceiling shut, and the walls began to close in. The only light in the crushing room was the flickering light from the reploids damaged emergency lighting system, as the damaged robot attempted to push against the walls of the tomb, in vain. The unit, designated a 'Breaker', or a construction robot designed for demolitions without explosives, seemed to look about the room as the walls crushed in on them. He looked to the terrified human, then to the wall, and without waiting another moment, dug the large metal mitts of his hands into the seem between the ground and the compressing wall. The screaching of metal on metal filled the room as the light went dark, and all Kellindal could perceive was the grinding cry of the machinery, and the sudden searing pain coming from his arm as consciousness left him.
He awoke later, in one of the many hospitals of the city, and almost instantly panicked. His body had been nearly shredded, as he was told, by the shrapnel of Breaker Unit 07 as it caused the compressor to jam by wedging it's body into the seams. Everyone else was dead, destroyed, or whatever word you wished to use. The Hunters had shown up and saved him, thankfully, but most of the Mavericks had escaped. The companies assets, not a fortune but a good deal of money, had fallen to him and him alone, as the control of the company was set to be handed down through the employees in such events. He used some of the companies wealth to pay for the recovery and funerals of the workers, and some more to pay for his own Cybernetic repairs, since most of his body would now need to be mechanical. Hah, he'd spent so long hating the Reploid, now he owed his life to one and he himself was more machine then man. Life had a dark sense of humor.
Still, he felt as if he had to do more with this than simply survive. And so, he went to the Hunters, who had collected the destroyed units, and made his proposition to them. With what was left of his funds, he started work on turning the destroyed construction units into something more then scrap. A powerful suit of Power Armor, designed specifically for him, as he expressed a desire to become a Hunter, and finally do something to put an end to all the Reploid violence in the world. The agreement was struck, and the remains of his funds combined with the scientific resources of the hunters constructed the suit, code named 'Breaker'.
Personality: Kellindal actually maintains an odd sort of split personality with his suit. Outside of it he can be a bit grumpy, but is all around a rather charming fellow when he is in a good mood. Inside the suit, however, he rarely talks. Everything is all business, and his combat style is brutally efficient. This may be his own hommage to the construction units, which very rarely spoke themselves (due to the noise of a construction site, a radio form of communication was normally employed).
In either form, Kellindal's experience with the compactor has left him with a crippling (and violent) case of Claustrophobia. If in an enclosed space, or a space which is shrinking, he will become incredibly violent. It would not be uncommon to see him try to tear down walls in such a situation.
