The Reploid drove, on not one of the hoverbikes that they were all so fond of, but a legitimate, loud, dirty motorcycle. He wasn't sure why he enjoyed the feel of the bike beneath him, but the feel of the road being physically beneath the wheels was a rush that he couldn't really get with one of the hoverbikes. Granted, the hoverbikes also seemed to have a lack of control, as far as he was aware (though some of the other hunters told him they 'just took some getting used to.') Pah. He'd ride the bike over one of those other things, any day. The engine itself was modified, getting several hundred miles to the gallon, as gasoline... wasn't around as much as when he was 'young.'
Approaching the dark streets, the Reploid pulled back a little on the throttle, allowing the bike to slow down some as he realized where he was. He reached up, tapping the side of his helmet, connecting him with the Hunter HQ branch. "Hunter Joe, here," he spoke, as his aimer flickered around the area, looking for any signs of life or movement. He found neither. "At the location of the disturbance, as called in by the Reploid Police," he continued, the bike still slowly creeping forward, bringing him into the shadows. The sound of his motorcycle was undoubtedly giving away his position to everyone else that was around, and thusly, with a dissatisfied grunt, he cut the engine. "No signs of life detected so far."
"Very good; keep us updated."
Joe dismounted, his 'eye' glancing around. From the calls, the Reploid Police had encountered someone who had a level of strength that was unusual for a reploid, and was assumed to be a Bioroid. He had volunteered for the mission, now recently having been refit with Titanium X parts, rather than the basic style that he had prior to. It was interesting, to him, that he had been able to survive as long as he had without them. Still, he'd been able to survive a number of attacks and onslaughts by Megaman, back in the day... perhaps he was a bit more sturdy than he had expected.
Regardless, the Reploid set down the kickstand on the motorcycle, before hopped off the bike, and pulled the sniper rifle from his back. He checked the chamber; it was clear. "All right... time to go hunting," he spoke, glancing up at the setting sunlight.

The sun was setting beautifully across the horizon...a shame there was no time to actually gaze at it until the sun completely vanishes for the day. However, the ninja borg could let it slide, as this job in particular was more important than something he could see any time every day. It's not every day that a mercenary such as he is hired for a job such as a possible Bio-roid sighting. It was possible they passed it off as a job since the hunters had more important things to do, such as getting back on their feet 100% from the aftermath of the war and other daily Maverick threats. A what-if situation must not be very top priority if they didn't divert their attention from the other matters to run over here...which is understandable. What if this was just a fluke? Waste of time. So there was no need for further self-questioning about it.
When the air car he was riding in the back seat of landed in the streets of the indicated location, the driver and passenger doors opened as his two trusted acquaintances, Sean and Emilie, departed from the vehicle. It's not normal for them to accompany him on the actual jobs they assign to him, though this one's special since they were required to gain direct information from what he and the Maverick Hunter he was assigned to work together with find out or possibly encounter. After a couple of seconds, Magnus stepped out the back of the air car as well, standing by Sean...and conveniently away from Emilie for the obvious gynophobic reasons.
"This is the place. There's the hunter, Joe right over there. You can catch him before he enters." Sean immediately spoke up, crossing his arms. "Just report back to us here when you both find something out. He should be able to tell you full details of his own mission, which should be the same as your own task obviously."
He didn't say anything in response, but the shinobi nodded his head before walking off. From a distance, this "Joe" seemed like a pretty normal guy, so he shouldn't have any problems getting along with him compared to previous hunters he's encountered that grated on his nerves. Well, it was time to get this over with. Though before he could move on out...
"Hey! hold on, Magnus!" Emilie shouted out to him, displaying her frustrated tone. "I don't like it when you're all silent like this. Don't do anything stupid, all right?"
He stopped in his tracks, hearing every word she spoke. He didn't want to say anything towards this mission simply because the fact that thinking of encountering a Bio-roid around here makes him think too much of the past. Even now, he thinks of the battles and run-ins with them when he was still enlisted with the hunters...especially the one that killed poor Priscilla and the same one that made him into the cyborg he is now. He clenched his fist at the thought, but calmed down a bit as he arched his head sideways, indicating he's about to speak...but not looking back at Emilie directly.
"...Don't worry. I've dealt with this stuff before. It'll be fine." He responded in his usual calm, yet serious tone.
"He'll be fine, Em. He was chosen for this job solely for his past experience with the Bio-roids and his departing rank." Sean placed his two cents in, walking closer before placing his giant hand on the ninja borg's shoulder. "But regardless, don't let that go to your head either, Magnus. Be careful in there."
The cyborg nods his head once more, pulling off a slight smile towards the both of them before walking off towards the direction of the hunter. As he approached, he made sure he was completely ready: He checked his shuriken pack to see if he had plenty of throwing stars and kunai knives, as well as the ones already hidden under the sleeves of his long trench coat. He had no idea what he'd possibly encounter, so it was best to be ready for all possible situations.
He approached the hunter, who was apparently finished preparing himself as well. "Hey. Joe, right? I'm Magnus, the hired mercenary who was assigned to help out here." He spoke, not paying too much attention to the fact that he has only...one eye? Wait...what the hell? Er, not like that matters anyway. He's seen roids with no eyes before, so it's no surprise. Nothing wrong with one eye anyway. It actually looked pretty cool on him. But anyways...back to business. "I wasn't told the full story about what's really going on other than a possible Bio-roid sighting. Is it all right if I ask for more before we get started?"

The reploid stood, staring into the shadows as he heard the mercenary that was going along with him talking to a few friends of his. Granted, Joe couldn't hear any of the words being said; his hearing wasn't that acute, but he knew enough that they seem to be arguing a bit over something. However, he didn't really seem to notice as he stared into the darkness, his single 'eye' flickering around, trying to see what might be within there.
The rifle was hoisted over his shoulder as he looked into that consuming shadow. The other came up next to him, and Joe glanced at the self-proclaimed mercenary. He was heralded as a highly-skilled fighter, and for that, Joe was somewhat thankful that the other was here. Joe was someone that knew that he wasn't probably skilled enough yet, even with his Titanium X armor and weaponry. So having that backup was going to be extremely helpful.
Joe glanced back at the other, and nodded slowly, before tapping a button on the back of his helmet, the visor vanished for a moment, revealing a face that may have been described as 'ruggedly handsome' were he more human-looking. However, the reploid's robotic roots were very evident, as there were more than a few visible circuitries running through his skin. “Yeah, I'm Joe. Nice to meet you,” he spoke, before he looked back into the darkness. The visor reappeared, the red 'eye' returning as his scanner swept the darkness. Thankfully, his sensors were pretty much all but optical.
“No problem,” Joe spoke, handing over a data pad, which held the relevant information in the case. As the other read, the green Reploid gave a summary. “Basically a few of the Reploid Police were on patrol back in this area, and they saw someone who looked suspicious to them, I guess. They called for the arrest, tried to bring him in, and two of them were ripped to pieces,” he spoke, glancing back at the data pad for a moment, before his eyes flickered upwards to Magnus. “One of them managed a distress call before he went down.
“So a few more showed up to see what was causing the commotion, and when they saw the bodies, judging by how quickly and efficiently they'd been disposed, they figured it was either a Bioroid, which seemed more likely, as I'm pretty certain we didn't get 'em all, back then, or some sort of Maverick type,” he spoke, giving a slight shrug. “But it doesn't seem that way, as you can see, because the police were literally ripped apart. Pulled apart, with a ridiculous amount of force. Doesn't seem like something that any Reploid, even a Maverick, could do.”
Of course, Joe had access to the entirety of the Maverick Hunter database, and knew there were some Mavericks, like Violen or Byte, that probably had that necessary strength, but it still seemed unusual, especially with the speed and efficiency that had been done with. “That was about an hour ago, so there's not even a guarantee that whatever did that is even still here,” he spoke, before he adjusted his shoulder a bit, the gun itself adjusting alongside him. “But if it is still here, I'll get it. Or, we'll get it, I guess,” he spoke, his eagerness to prove himself belying his words.
He tapped the side of his helmet again, connecting with the Hunter HQ branch. “Magnus has arrived. We're going in,” he spoke, not even waiting for the reply before he tapped it again, and then glanced at the man. “You still got what it takes?” Joe asked, and though his face was hidden by the visor, one could hear a tone of amusement in his voice.

When the reploid revealed his face, that seemed to answer a lot of inside questions the mercenary had. Since that wasn't important though, he gratefully took the data pad and read as Joe spoke. This definitely was a strange case indeed. Given how he saw the Bio-roid's strength first-hand, there were plenty that could rip apart enemies at the same pace. There hasn't been a sighting since the war ended and yet...why does he feel that he'll possibly encounter one this time? Probably because of hearing what happened to those police. He knew that just the average Bio-roid could give even a pretty decent Maverick Hunter a challenge. X and Axl still being in long-time maintenance from what he heard was proof alone.
There was no need to feel overwhelmed though, for if he survived that whole decade of destruction and still standing perfectly now, he'd find a way. If there's a will, there's a way as they say. When he gave the data pad back, he had to smirk a bit on Joe's last remark as he gripped the sheath of his Phoenix Edge and removed it from his utility belt entirely, holding the still-sheathed weapon in hand. "Heh, no problem. I'm always up for a challenge, no matter the difficulty." he spoke with great optimism. He wasn't the cocky and over-confident type, but he knew backing out so soon accomplished nothing. Though one could say his stubbornness played a key role in keeping himself alive for all this time. If he wasn't so determined to cling to life after that Bio-roid severed his limbs, he wouldn't even be standing here to this very day.
But he could took back on the past later. He had a job to do. "Ready whenever you are." He spoke up one last time, as he was here for back-up after all. He has to let Joe take the lead, of course.
