Name: Soul Fencer (Japanese: Agile Nightmare-Fencer)
Species: Reploid
Affiliation/Occupation:
- Currently: Maverick Double Agent (False Maverick Hunter)
- Former Faction: Counter Hunters (X-Hunters)
- Currently: Counter Hunter Syndicate (Leader)
Hunter Rank: C
Physical Description:
Power: 4800rp
Speed: 7800rp
- Default Appearance
Soul was designed with an interchangeability in both his internal systems as well his external frame, his transformations are routed into his power supply and system functions but indirectly provides him with three separate appearances to which Soul purposely uses to set as disguise factors. His first form at 6ft tall, being his default appearance, is a black frame (which primarily does not change throughout his other forms) covered in red armor sectors with a gold secondary trimming. The only estranged detail that sets apart from his red and yellow armor base is the white armor plates over his thighs, and the white armor plates passing over his groin/hips which house two red generator cells, one on each hip, that feed an isolated power source to his legs which give an additional boost to his leg agility functionality. Located directly to his lower back are two indented holsters built into his body which house his two energy rapiers, a quick access to his weapons since his elegant posture is mostly seen with his hands held behind his back. His torso surrounding his ribcage section has a surrounding slot to encase a retractable jacket flap to give him the appearance of wearing a matching trench coat, which he pulls in to engage in a more mobile/flexible combat movement. The last and more notable detail to his appearance is his helmet, which curves down half of his face leaving only his blue left eye to be seen. A common misconception among those who see him, is that they assume he only has one eye, the actuality is that the gold section of his helmet that covers half of his face IS his other eye, and contains not only an array of intricate targeting scanner data, but also an extended wide optical view of three times the normal peripheral scope of a normal eye. Also the rear of his helmet lets out a long yellow scarf that most assume is his hair....its a scarf.
[li]First Transformation: Genesis Output[/li][/ul]
Power: 7800rp
Speed: 9800rp
In this first configuration all of the red armor sections shift their colors to white and his blue eye changes to red. Although it is mostly internal functions that change his speed performance and energy output, the major changes aside from color scheme is that the shins open up and rise to form a more protective knee guard. Directly below those knee guards are another set of red generator cells which were previously housed, hidden away, and deactivated...but are now revealed and active to provide an additional power output to the legs but also the spine and arms as well. His previously rounded finger tips are now extended into a more pointed claw-like appearance, as well the shoulders grow a thick gold colored armor plate. The frame of his energy rapiers also morph into a more bulky rounded hand-guard, which reveal a red generator cell placed in the center of the rapier frame that is now increasing the weapon power output.
[li]Second Transformation: Repulse Output
[/li][/ul]
Power: 9800rp
Speed: 17800rp
This secondary configuration alters his form the most both internally and externally. The tips of his feet develop a spiked peak formation while the rest of his body along his thighs and torso armor areas separate into ribbed slices. This is to make room for growth as his 6ft body now becomes a taller 7'1, as well his scarf breaks off into several strands that whip and billow around behind him. The durability of his armor is reduced by 25% to compensate for a lighter frame to further increase his speed, the black base frame of his body (unarmored areas) now emits a body lined repulse ion that moves the dark-matter in the air around/away from his body so that he is not effected by speed reducing friction molecules. The effect of the dark matter being pushed around his body gives him the appearance that he is coated in a purple aura. Lastly, his Deka-Processor CPU, a part salvaged from Counter Hunter Agile's original body, is activated which dramatically speeds up not only his thinking process, but his reflexes, mobility response (agility), and his speech as a side effect.

Equipment:
Soul Rapier (x2) - These two weapons were made with parts salvaged from Counter Hunter Agile's legendary Beam Nodachi. Similar to an energy saber but uses soul energy instead (ie: Soul Body), but designed as a fencing style rapier that holds out a continual blade of point focused energy. It can cut efficiently like a saber, but it does additional damage if stabbed from the point because of how the energy is formed and rolls backward from the tip. However, it has a variable capability function that is controlled both by trigger and its charge time which changes the nature of the blade. But it is designed to charge silently so there is no outside perspective that gives it away to indications of techniques. Below is a list of its functionality:
- Soul Arrow
- Crescent Slash Beam
- Energy Disperser
[li]Crescent Paralysis Wave[/li] - Much like the Crescent Slash Beam by definition of it's shape and drifting speed, but compensating cutting force with a paralyzing jolt that temporarily jams and freezes all systems. Duration: level 1 (Paralysis for 1 post), level 2 (Weapon/Tech failure for 1 post), level 3 (Paralysis & Weapon/Tech failure for 2 posts). Genesis output required.
[li]Soul Wheel[/li] - Using accurate targeting, the Soul Rapier can release a five foot spinning soul blade (Similar to Soul Body) that first drifts, then floats in place for a few seconds. This can be used to obstruct/block the movements of others or just forwardly saw into an object or surface. The wheel of energy is high frequency and carries a deadlier cutting capacity than the Crescent Beam Slash because of it's continual spin and momentary residual energy after making contact with a surface. Repulse output required.
[li]Nightmare Wheel[/li] - Similar to Soul Wheel, but moments after it drifts the soul energy converges in on itself taking the Soul Body form of Counter Hunter Agile. The Soul Body of Agile quickly shifts and darts at a target wildly slashing about with little warning before gesturing a laugh and dispersing. Charging to level two extends the Soul Agile duration for a few moments allowing it to pursue and chase the desired target for a moment. The Soul Agile's seem to know who the correct target is, but act as if they have a mind of their own carrying Agile's original personality and attack strategies. Repulse output required.
[/ul]
Teleportation Drive - Due to his system functions he does not operate with a dash unit or boosters of any kind. In lieu of this he has a teleportation drive built into his body which carries a near instantaneous flash-burst travel of short range distances. The short range capability is mostly used for combat to cleverly maneuver strategically around his opponents, but because of it's quick flash-burst capability it overheats if used too many times in rapid succession and requires cooling. It can also teleport Soul in long range distances but its long range scope takes a moment to calibrate so escapes need to be planned ahead to buy time for calibration. It can also be configured to take a group with him in an area effect, but the wider the area around him the more time he needs to calibrate the unit.
Skills/Techniques:
- Expert Blade Marksman
- Military Tactician
- Isolated Ambidexterity
- Full Body Speedster Specs
- Variable Transformation Frame (See Appearances above)
- 270 Degree Vision (In addition to his normal left eye)
Hyper Mode: Soul Fusion Armor: Omega Agile
Power: 10800rp
Speed: 24800rp
After activating the Repulse Output transformation, Soul Fencer and the Soul of Agile through his old parts combine existences of the two swordsmen as one. Not just by their parts, but their memories, skills, personality, and hatred for the Maverick Hunters alike...ESPECIALLY X. The Repulse output's armor weakness is nullified with a purple new-type armor that does not compromise mobility or attack speed. Power output to all techniques are dramatically increased to the point that all techs come out as Level 3 without a charge time. The downside is that the effect of this power is maddening and drives Soul Fencer not only insane with raging blood-lust, but is pushing his systems into a critical overload with each post carried. Maximum posts is 5. Once powered down, Soul Fencer is powerless and immobile for the exact duration of posts it was used, leaving him vulnerable and reliant on an ally to get him to safety. However...If Soul Fusion Armor is used for a full duration of 5 posts, Soul Fencer will self destruct from power overload and ultimately Die.
Backstory:
Early 21XX:
Soul is the legitimate reincarnation of the old Counter Hunter...or X-Hunter, Agile, who was in charge of a special task force created for the sole purpose of luring in and destroying X. Ultimately he and his team were defeated twice by X and in the end was destroyed. But before moving into his secondary plan, Agile created a contingency plan for reviving himself just in case he met with the same fate as all of X's other opponents. Agile created a new reploid body which was to be remotely activated should he be destroyed during his second assault on X...and he was. This plan was just in case Sigma had not enough mercy to revive him after his diluted failure, which his high intelligence estimated would be the exact case if the event of his failure. Soul awoke intentionally designed with his own personality so that in case of emergency nobody would know who he was or who he happened to be tied to. He was only intended to be a spare body so the design specs were nowhere near as powerful as the original Agile, he simply didn't have time to create a powerful body with Serges and Violen always so close by. Soul was instead left with a series of encrypted data files with explicit mission instructions to be carried out.
His first set of instructions was to seek out the hidden location of Agile's original body, the body Agile transferred from before his second assault on X (Note that the body was never destroyed). The second set of instructions was to use his old parts to upgrade his new body. Soul had successfully recovered Agile's body in a hidden bunker ten miles southwest of Sigma's old fortress, the problem was finding a trustworthy doctor to exchange his parts. He held off for years, using the Maverick Hunters as a disguise while searching for a skilled medical hand during the Doppler revolt. Soon he met a skilled Maverick Hunter commander named Gravity Juggernaut who recommended his own creator, Dr.Franklin Heckler, who could upgrade Soul's systems with ease...not knowing what Soul was up to at the time. Dr.Heckler had no idea who Agile was, which helped Soul's deception out a great deal, and from Heckler's analysis of Soul's configuration...he seemed to be created with a blank slot made for a special deca-processor which matched Agile's. The same seemed to match up with his arms, legs, and extra generator core slots throughout his body. This discovery only compelled Heckler to perform the upgrades even though the deca-processor was discontinued due to causing reploid schizophrenia or speedster syndrome commonly mistaken for maverick behavior.
The two processor types did not overlap, in fact neither did their CPUs, the two personalities stayed separate due to the fact that Soul had too much development in his own personality over the years. However, having Agile's old data and memories did teach him a whole new skill set of swordsmanship and combat training which furthered him into developing his combat style and techniques. Even though it was self evident that Soul was his own person regardless of what the original Agile had planned for him, Agile's old parts seemed to carry an echo of his soul (which is theorized throughout reploid history), but mostly through their merged weapon. Otherwise Soul had never been fully certain how to connect with that echo of Agile, that was until the rest of the encryption timed out and unlocked the last few data files containing the last mission and his new body's intended schematics. As it turns out, Agile never wanted to be revived...he just wanted a legacy to hand down revenge for his fall and to make up his failure to his master, Sigma. His final mission? Begin a new legacy of Counter Hunters, then destroy X.
Current Date:
Soul has spent the bitter portion of years as a Maverick Hunter, quietly keeping an eye on X while he himself slowly grew more powerful. While he had no intention in leading a squad or following someone he secretly wanted to kill, he built his reputation as a skilled swordsman and sword combat instructor for the elite hunters. Over time, he slowly gathered resources and trusted allies that believed in his cause, he even had to silence a few Hunters permanently to maintain his cover. One of the first few members of his inner circle was Gravity Juggernaut, who was showing signs of Maverick behavior but in actuality was acting out on the truth that he never believed in the Maverick Hunter's mission. Soul gave Juggernaut a purpose and in return helped Soul recruit other powerful and trusted reploids to serve the cause. When the resources permitted, Soul established a secret base and founded the Counter Hunter Syndicate, all the while keeping his cover as a Maverick Hunter to have an inside advantage while his power draws closer to it's intended full potential. Although he feels the time is not right to reveal The Syndicate, its pretty damned close. Soon he will be ready to make his assault and execute his master plan against the world.
Personality: Soul is very calm and reserved, he likes to give the appearance of elegance with a touch of grace and finesse. Soul smiles the same way he did when he was Agile, and giggles mutely at his own dark thoughts quite often. He legitimately cares for those who serve along side him for his master's cause, loyalty to his allies. But his ultimate loyalty is to the fallen Commander Sigma, hoping to find evidence of his viral existence still on the moon or otherwise in order to revive his master and continue the war against humanity. He has a deep hatred for the Maverick Hunters and an even bigger hatred for X due to his failure to terminate X not once but twice back when he was known as Agile. He hates Zero just as much seeing that it was his team's fault for collecting Zero's parts to bait X into a trap which ultimately lead to Zero's revival, now the red reploid stands as an echoing reminder of his past failure. Soul wont show it, but he is ultimately desperate to make up for his past mistakes, even if it means he must take his time to divulge a more effective plan.
